So for the final week of the December design team I wanted to do another 3D project but keep it simple.

temp

I made this bag using one piece of Designer Series Paper. I chose the Pick a Pattern set and used the sheet that had an art theme to it.

I scored the paper at 3″, then turned the paper 180 degrees and scored again at 3″. I turned the paper 90 degrees and scored at 3/4″ and 4 1/2″ and as before turned it at 180 degrees and scored at 3/4″ and 4 1/2″. I folded the 3/4″ line backwards and glued it into place on both sides.

Then using the side panel I folded it back to the edge so I could create a diagonal line and then repeated this on the other 3 sides. I then glued the sides together at the top and punched holes through on both sides. I threaded ribbon and tied it together to create handles.

I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with Everyday label punch and then cut another out of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I glued these together and added Rhinestones to the front. I punched a small hole at the top and threaded Whisper White Bakers twine through and tied this onto the ribbon.

Well that’s it, I hoped you liked my project for this week, dont forget to check out the other designs from my team.

Until next time…

This week I decided to do a 3D project. With christmas coming up its perfect for a little stocking filler.

temp

The box size is 5 1/2″ x 2 5/8″

I used a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that I cut to 6 1/2″ x 6 3/8″. On the long edge I scored it at 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″ and 6″. On the short edge I scored it at 1/2″ and 5 7/8″.

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 5 1/4″ by 2 3/8″. Using the scissor stamp I repeatedly stamped using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black. I adhered this to the box with Fast Fuse.

I took a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the scissor image with the same ink as before. Once dry I coloured it in with Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate Blends. I fussy cut it out and added cut up Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a scalloped oval from Bermuda Bay cardstock with Layering Ovals Framelits and a smaller oval from Whisper White which I stamped a sentiment on to it & added the scissor topper.

I tied a piece of ribbon around the box with a bow and added the completed topper to just the ribbon with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This box is perfect for Stampin’ Up! Snips but can also be used for lots of little things including a few notecards and envelopes.

Well that’s it, I hoped you liked my project for this week, I’m really looking forward to sharing next weeks project with you.

Until next time…

This week I wanted to use a colour that I hadn’t used very much so I chose Fresh Fig. I love this colour but its not my ‘go to’ colour (after this it will be moved into that category)

temp.png

I decided on a simple design this week. I chose to use the Stitched Shapes Framelits as I thought it would give a ‘creative’ touch. I used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut the image out and the corresponding size and shape of the Stitched Shapes to layer behind it.

I made a card base from Fresh Fig and added a layer of Whisper White which was cut slightly smaller than the card base. I added the stamped images to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then I stamped the sentiment with Basic Black archival ink.

To complete the card I coloured a few rhinestones with the Rich Razzleberry Blends pen in the dark shade and added them to the card.

Well that’s it, I hoped you liked my project for this week, I’m really looking forward to sharing next weeks project with you.

Pootlers Design Team – Crafting Forever – Week 1

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

I’m so excited to be a part of the Pootler’s Design Team again. Every Thursday throughout December, myself and 9 other ladies from our team will be showcasing projects made with the Crafting Forever stamp set.

When I saw this set in the annual catalogue I loved it but never got around to actually buying it so when it arrived on my doorstep I was so excited! When I started playing with it I realised I had losts of ideas, however when it came to doing the actual project I had lost my crafting mojo as I was, and still am, full of cold. This isn’t the project I had planned but I’m really pleased with it and what I’ve learned is don’t give up if you are struggling. So here’s my project for week 1.

temp

I started this card using Stampin’ Markers but then remembered I still hadn’t used my Stampin’ Blends. So I redid it and preferred the final look of the pens.

I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock, which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the trio of pens image.

I coloured them in using the dark and light Night of Navy and Old Olive pens and then I used the dark Cherry Cobbler and dark Pink Piroeutte pens for the final pen. For the ‘metal work’ of the pens I used dark and light Smoky Slate pens.

Using the Lots of Labels Framelits I cut the pen image from the third largest die, then using the next two larger dies, I cut out one from Smoky Slate and Basic Black cardstock respectively.

On the Basic Black cut out, I adhered a piece of Silver 1/8″ ribbon to the front. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped image and adhered this to the Smoky Slate layer. I then used Fast Fuse to adhere to the Basic Black layer.

I cut a card base from Melon Mambo and then added a mat from the Naturally Eclectic Designer series paper. I chose to use the blue design as I thought this would compliment the colour scheme best. I adhered this and the topper to the card base with Fast Fuse.

For the sentiment I used Flourishing Phrases stamp set. I used a scrap of Basic Black and heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark and white embossing powder. I used the Everyday Label punch to cut it out and then punched it again further down to make a smaller image, again I adhered this with Fast Fuse and added a bow with a mini glue dot.

Well that’s it, I hoped you liked my project for the first week, I’m really looking forward to sharing next weeks project with you.

Until next time….

Pootlers Design Team – Flirty Flowers – Week 4

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

Thank you for joining me for the final weeks design. Every Thursday throughout September, myself and 4 other ladies from our team will be showcasing projects made with the Flirty Flowers stamp set.

For the final week I wanted to do something a little special and showcase nearly all of the images in the collection, now I used a lot of products but you could stick to one stamp set and one die set or punch to give you a similar effect.

IMG_4106

For the box I used a simple ‘pizza box’ style box and used Thick Whisper White cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 10″. I scored this on the long side at 1″, 4 1/2″, 5 1/2″, 9″. On the short side I scored it at 1″, 4 1/2″. This will create a 3 1/2″ square box once completed.

I assigned each stamp to a colour from 2017-2019 in-color collection and stamped on the unassembled box with each stamp/colour in a random pattern. Then I folded and burnished my score lines, cut up the score lines. Using the 3/4″ circle punch I cut out a half circle from the front of the lid help with opening the box. Then I glued the tabs to complete the box. I decided to add a layer to the top of the box, I cut Berry Burst cardstock to 3″ square and glued that on. I stamped an image onto a 2 3/4″ Whisper White square and glued that to the coloured cardstock layer.

I made five card blanks from each of the in-color collection cardstock measuring 3″ x 6″, scored at 3″. Using the Fresh Florals DSP I made envelopes with the envelope punch board by following the instructions printed on the board. You could use the mini white envelopes from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue to save on this part of the project.

IMG_4108

I cut Whisper White cardstock to 2 3/4″ square for each of the card fronts and using the stamp/ink combo from before, I stamped the images onto the card front. Using the Layering Circles and Layering Ovals Framelits I cut out Whisper White cardstock and the in-color collection cardstock for the sentiments, I glued these to the card bases using Snail and dimensionals and then I added a range of embellishments to the finished notecards. I also used the Classic Label and the Banner Triple punches as well as the Thoughtful Banners stamp set for extra sentiments.

If you haven’t got the all the die sets you could use the Stitched Shapes as this set will give you circles, squares and ovals in one. I also used the Classic Label and the Banner Triple punches as well as the Thoughtful Banners stamp set for extra sentiments.

So that was my project for week 4, please stop by and see my fellow team blog posts and thank you so much for joining me this month for the Pootler’s Design Team, I hope to see you on here again soon.

Pootlers Design Team – Flirty Flowers – Week 3

Thank you for joining me for this week’s design. Every Thursday throughout September, myself and 4 other ladies from our team will be showcasing projects made with the Flirty Flowers stamp set.

So for this week I wanted to do something simple and I wanted to create my own DSP. I stamped the little flower several times onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock I then had to colour each one in by hand.

IMG_4078

I used a range of colours including, reds, pinks, purples, yellow and blue for the flowers and two shades of green for the leaves. I then cut this to 4 1/2″ square. Using the layered circles framelits, I die-cut a circle in the centre.

I took a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment and cut it out so it was larger than the hole I’d created in my DSP. Then with a scrap piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, I cut a circle using the same die I’d used for my DSP and then with the co-ordinating scalloped die, I turned it into a frame.

Using Wink Of Stella, I added some shimmer to the DSP layer by going over the coloured flowers and then I attached the frame to it using multi purpose liquid glue.

I made my card blank from Daffodil Delight cardstock that I cut down to 5″ x 10″ and scored it at 5″ to make a square card. I glued the sentiment to the centre of the card front and using dimensionals, I adhered the DSP over the sentiment.

So there you have it! A super simple and fairly quick card that you can make if you are in a rush.

So that was my project for week 3, please stop by and see my fellow team blog posts and don’t forget to check in next week.

I’m so excited to be a part of the Pootler’s Design Team for this month. Every Thursday throughout September, myself and 4 other ladies from our team will be showcasing projects made with the Flirty Flowers stamp set.

Unfortunately I missed week 1 as I was due to go away on holiday and the stamp set hadn’t arrived by the time I left, but I when I arrived home at the weekend it was waiting for me. I spent a few hours on Sunday playing with the stamp set and I really love how it turned out.

So here’s my project for week 2.

su flirty flowers 1

I stamped the flower in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and used my markers to colour it in.

For the stem and leaves I used a Wild Wasabi marker as the base colour and added shading with a Garden Green marker.

For the flower I used a Sweet Sugarplum marker as the base colour and added shading with a Rich Razzleberry marker. I finished the flower with a Daffodil Delight marker for the stamens.

I cut the image out using the oval framelits and I cut a scalloped oval mat using Berry Burst cardstock, I glued these together with Fast Fuse.

Using the Decorative Ribbon Border punch, I cut a strip from Berry Burst cardstock, glued them to a strip of Whisper White and cut it to size for the card front, I added a piece of Berry Burst ribbon to it.

Using another piece of Whisper White cardstock I cut it to size for my card front and embossed it with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. I glued this layer and the ribbon strip to the Berry Burst card blank I created. For the flower layer I used Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made a bow using the same ribbon and added it to the flower layer. Using the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, I stamped the ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ sentiment, using Basic Black ink onto the smallest oval, die cut and glued it to a scalloped Berry Burst. Then I added it to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So that was my project for week 2, please stop by and see my fellow team blog posts and don’t forget to check in next week.

Pootlers Design Team – Just Keep Swimming – Week 4

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

Welcome to week 4 of the March Just Keep Swimming design team blog hop.

143010G

So this is the final week for the March Design Team and I feel a little sad. I have loved being part of this design team. For my final project I decided to go back to the bears as I really enjoyed using them in week 2.

IMG_3269

I made a small bag for a pack of gummy bears from vellum. I heat embossed using Real Red ink and clear embossing powder, which I stamped randomly on a sheet of  vellum before cutting it to 8 1/2″ x 5 3/8″.

On the long side I scored the vellum at 2 1/4″ and 6 1/4″. On the short side I scored at 1″ and 4 7/8″.

I cut away the excess vellum and rounded the corners on the flaps. I added adhesive to the bottom flap and the centre seam to create the bag.

IMG_3270

I cut the second largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits and stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then stamped the bears in the same colours I used for the shaker card. (Week 2)

I cut a length of Sending Love Ribbon in Real Red and wound it around the bag twice securing it with a mini glue dot. I adhered the oval onto the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IMG_3271

So thats it! I was so pleased to be chosen for this design team and I’m sad that I’m no longer going to be doing these weekly projects. I hope you enjoyed all of these projects and I hope you continue to follow my blog.

Pootlers Design Team – Just Keep Swimming – Week 3

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

Welcome back to week 3 of the March Just Keep Swimming design team blog hop.

143010G

I decided to use the gem stamp for this weeks project.

IMG_3123

To make this super easy project I made a card base from Pacific Point cardstock which I heat embossed using versamark ink and clear embossing powder, using the outline gem stamp.

I then cut a strip of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper at 1″ wide. I glued it to the front of the card and cut off the excess to match the width of the card base.

I cut a strip of scrap Pacific Point cardstock at 1/2″ wide and fishtailed the ends to fit over the glimmer paper. I then added a rhinestone to the each end.

I stamped the solid gem stamp with Pacific Point ink onto Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed the outline stamp over the solid blue image, using Versamark ink. Also, using the Pacific Point ink, I stamped the sentiment below the gem image.

I cut this out using the second largest circle die from Stitched Shapes Framelit dies and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

And there you have it, a quick 15 minute card project for when you need a great card quickly.

Pootlers Design Team – Just Keep Swimming – Week 2

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

Welcome back to week 2 of the March Just Keep Swimming design team blog hop.

143010G

So this week I wanted to make a shaker card with the bear stamp.

IMG_3091.PNG

To make the ‘Gummy Bears’ I used the following ink colours.

For the outline I used Pumpkin Pie for the orange bear, Crushed Curry for the yellow bear, Real Red for the red bear and Emerald Envy for the green bear.

For the solid colour & shading I used Peekaboo Peach for the orange bear, Daffodil Delight for the yellow bear, Watermelon Wonder for the red bear and Cucumber Crush for the green bear.

I repeatedly stamped into a die cut jar, stamped with Basic Gray ink, from Jar Of Love stamp set until it was full using post it notes to mask each bear so when I stamped the next bear it appeared to be behind the last bear.

I then cut some out and clear embossed four of them for the shaker part. I glued both of the jars onto a Basic Gray cardbase and assembled the shaker part using foam tape.

I wanted it to look like they were spilling out of the tipped over jar, so I glued a bear coming out of the jar and made the bears spill over the edge of the card.

Here’s a close up of the shaker part.
