Welcome to the Pootler’s Blog Hop. We’re featuring new products from the new annual catalogue and I would love it if you take time to hop around everyone that has taken part.
There are so many beautiful new products it was hard to choose which one to showcase on my blog today, but I have chosen a lovely stamp set called Accented Blooms.
I made this to be a 4″ square. I would often make cards this size before I joined Stampin’ Up! but I changed to the popular size you see me usually make, however I think I will be making more of this size.
I used Whisper White Thick Cardstock to make my base, cut to 4″ x 8″, scored at 4″. I cut a piece of vellum to 4″ by 4 1/2″ and scored along one side at 1/2″ – I will later use this to fold around the card base spine and adhere to the back of the card so the adhesive doesn’t show through.
Next to the score mark I stamped the main flower image using Versamark ink and heat embossed using White Embossing Powder. Using my Stampin’ Write Markers I coloured on the back of the vellum.
I then stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock the ‘Hello’ in Coastal Cabana ink and punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch and using Stampin’ Dimensionals I glued it to the vellum and as mentioned above, adhered the vellum to the card base.
